A wonderful, unusualpair ofvintage earrings, modeled in 14k yellow gold, featuringsquareslabsof vibrant, uncut, bedding, Chatham emerald crystals. Because these created emeralds are still in their raw form, thevibrant green beds are populated by small, sparkling crystals of various heights! These beautiful Chatham specimens are set in “picture frame” mounts, which are oriented in a diamond shape. The frames areheavily textured with beads of granulation and milgrain. The sides of the frames are open, and crown-like, and the reverse features a hand-pierced, diamond-shaped stay that holds the emerald panels securely in place. Theseframed crystals dangle below rounded, three-lobed, shell-form posts. These late mid century earrings are especially interesting and are something of a rarity. We don't often findchatham emerald crystals set in earrings. Marked 14k for purity.
